The Rain

Slowly softly raindrops fall

Upon this spring day

At first a sprinkle

A mist

‘Spitting’

Then the shower

Then the downpour

The downpour is the

Best of all

For it blurs and mars

The world outside

The modern evils

The 21st century disaster

And takes us back

To a time forgotten

When the power is lost

And we are all cut off

We made our own entertainment

Like the olden days

Nostalgia for some

New experiences for others

I wish everyday it stormed

Time

Time shall tell what we don’t know

Time shall tell us where to go

Time shall tell us right or wrong

Time tells what we knew all along

Time can make the whole world change

Time can make the world look strange

Time can make the world seem mean

Time can seem an age between

Time will show you who you love

Time shall show life is enough

Nature's Gift

Your twists and turns pull me in
I must run and run to follow
I am barefoot so I can feel your calm
Rush against my skin

You twinkle beneath the sunlight
Glistening silver and gold
I want to capture your beauty
You are so so so

So amazing
Nature's gift
The stream

The Lake

It stretched out far
So far and wide
The lake within the hills
I watched the water flow
And flow
As the rain rippled on it's surface
It ebbed and flowed
And down the birds swooped
Swooped low to catch a treat
And the birds returned to
Whence they perched
And devoured their catch
As the grey clouds moved
To reveal the sun
In its gaseous glowing glory
I looked above to see the sky
They sky so filled with fury
The fury of the storm that roared
The storm that rumbled out
And the day by the lake
That chance brought about
Brought joy and calm
And fury and rage
But beauty... but beauty
Was never in doubt
